50 Rounds of Pain!

Saturday, October 3rd, 2009

On 13 September 2009 Alex Hannah endured an epic 50 rounds of sparring to raise more than £700 for Uganda Cancer Trust UK and our Campaign for Lydia.

Over 4.5 hours he fought in 50 consecutive 3 minute sparring rounds…

…10 judo

…10 Brazilian jujitsu

…10 wrestling

…some quick changes of kit

…10 kickboxing

… and 10 boxing!

A very big thanks to Alex and all his sparring partners for an awesome afternoon. We’re feeling inspired to get fit and do something challenging now… so watch this space.

Sponsored walk – 14 June 2009

Saturday, June 27th, 2009

On 14 June over 35 friends and family (and dogs) gathered on Wimbledon Common to take part in a 15 mile sponsored walk to Richmond Park and back. We had fantastic weather and strategically placed stops for icecream and beer were very welcome!

A few people (including the organisers) got a bit lost along the way but everybody managed to make it back for the barbecue eventually.  At the latest count the walk raised a fantastic £3397!

In fact we had such a good time, that we think next year we should go for something a bit more painful – watch this space for details…
